EZLinks Golf Tees Up More Personalization with Digital Element’s IP Geolocation Technology

Online Tee Time Service Will Provide Course Recommendations Based on Golfers’ Locations

ATLANTA – Apr. 23, 2014 – EZLinks Golf Inc., will make it easier and quicker for players around the world to schedule a round of golf through TeeOff.com by providing them with personalized course recommendations based on their geographic locations, a new capability powered by Digital Element’s NetAcuity® Edge IP geolocation solution.

EZLinks Golf, a pioneer in online reservations and tee time services, operates TeeOff.com, a leading destination for online tee time reservations, as well as the world’s largest golf reservations network and industry’s highest-volume tee time call center. New functionality planned for TeeOff.com is designed to appeal to the next generation of golfers―easy to search, fast to respond, and personal. As part of this initiative, EZLinks Golf turned to Digital Element, the leading provider of IP geolocation technology, to deliver the most accurate and reliable hyper-local data needed to ensure online interactions will be truly relevant for golfers.

“TeeOff.com is focused on making it easier for golfers to find and book their next tee times,” said Laura Dihel, vice president marketing, EZLinks Golf. “We are focused on creating a winning experience for golfers and golf courses. NetAcuity Edge allows us to hyper-target messaging connecting golfers with great places to golf locally.”

TeeOff.com will integrate Digital Element’s technology to aid in the display of search results, returning courses that are nearest to customers. EZLinks Golf also plans to leverage the technology to serve hyper-relevant content and advertisements, creating a custom experience for each user.

For example, TeeOff.com will be able to provide information on great golf travel destinations by recognizing that a visitor to the site in January is from Chicago―those in the area know the average temperature at that time hovers around freezing and is not conducive for golfing. If the same consumer visits the site in June, TeeOff.com will provide information on new courses in the area.

“A central tenet guiding e-commerce technology this year is personalized customer engagement, and EZLinks Golf realizes this is vital to attracting and retaining that next generation of golfers,” said Rob Friedman, executive vice president, Digital Element. “Our technology will allow TeeOff.com to gain traction with this audience in the years ahead by delivering more relevant messages to consumers, anticipating the needs of golfers, and better showcasing its suppliers’ products―in this case thousands of golf courses worldwide.”
